Distance Education Overview

Distance education courses are designed to be taken by students off campus and do not normally involve traditional classroom attendance. Interaction between student and professor may be facilitated through a variety of means (e.g., Internet, FAX, telephone, mail). Courses pursued by distance education are provided at the same academic level as the regular in-class course.

Currently, Shasta Bible College offers classes by distance education towards the following programs:

M.A. in Biblical Counseling
M.A. in Christian Family Life Education
M.A. in Christian Ministry
M.S. in School and Church Administration
For the BA degrees, the student may take courses in the core curriculum by distance education. General Education and Elective courses may have to be brought in by transfer credit from other approved institutions.

Tuition for distance education courses is the same as tuition for traditional on-campus courses. However, some of the fees required for on-campus students (e.g., student activity fee, mail box fee) are waived for the distance education student.Overview
